The Brown family was a year into traveling the country in their Sprinter van, Seven people,

one dog, everything they loved packed into one vehicle, when they discovered significant amounts

of airborne toxic black mold in the Oklahoma home where they'd stopped for the summer.

Every member of the family was affected. Each one differently.

They walked away from nearly everything they had with them. The belongings they'd carefully chosen to bring on a year-long family trip, their most cherished possessions, were gone. They started over with what fit in a single box.

They already knew and loved the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. So they found the right dog, partnered with Bill Weinstein of Mold Dog in Tampa, Florida, the man who invented mold dog detection and committed fully. Notch went through three months of intensive training in Florida. Jeremy completed extensive handler training alongside him. The boys were there the whole time.
